Hansel and Gretel

The Hansel and Gretel performance was held on the 17th and 18th December. It was performed by the Juniors of Brington School.

Hansel and Gretel is a pantomime. The narrators were disguised as trees in the wood. There were lots of different animals such as parrots, sparrows, lambs, bears, robins, bees, hens, moles, rabbits and lions.

There were three witches in the play. The main witch was Doris with her two sisters. The witches were old-fashioned and their cat, Spencer, kept telling them to be more modern. Hansel and Gretel were captured by the three wicked witches. The constables were serious and in the end everyone became friends. the wicked stepmother admitted that she was the cause of all the bother.
