ARTS FESTIVAL- Visual Arts
Recently, our school took part in an Arts Festival with some other primary schools in the area. The theme for our work was "Time". Each school presented and prepared a variety of work on the visual and performance arts. 
A local artist visited us and helped the children to produce felts. (see "Feltmaking Day" and "More Feltmaking Fun" pages) The children designed and made felts on different themes such as the seasons, clocks and night and day. 
Class 1 used cogs as a stimulus to make cogs and prints. ( see "Cogs- reception/ Year 1/ Year2" page) 
Class 2 made sculptures of clocks using card and fabric. The children chose a theme and designed their own clocks. (see "Clocks-Yr3/4" page) 
The children in class 3 studied some work by the artist Piet Mondrian. They used his style to produce their own paintings titled "Hours, Minutes, Seconds."(see "Mondrian" page)
