I was most interested to read the History page. Since learning that Mr & Mrs Seal taught at the school for 50 years, I looked again at the Censuses. In fact Charles Seal remarried (to Eliza Ann Wills, my gt-grandfather's sister) in 1877 after the death of his first wife Sarah, but he was still Schoolmaster and living on the site at the age of 70! My gt-gt-grandmother also lived at the school in later years. I should love to know whether there are records or tombstones locally. It's still a wonderful location for a school.

My great-grandmother Eliza Wills lived at the school after her husband's death with her daughter & son-in-law, Eliza & Charles Seal, and appears on Censuses 1871-1901 (can't find her in 1861). I've taught at Victorian primary and prep schools myself and it was wonderful to see the line drawing of the building. I hope to visit some day!

Hi every one!! it has been ages since i was at Brington now!! It seems like yesterday i was making the giant bible storiesd book with the old Ms Smith!!!! I cant believe i'm in year nine now!!! Me and my sister Katherine our enjoying our new school!! its very different for kate (bigger) but alot smaller for me!!!! Kath says hi to Mrs Masters and All those who know/ knew her!! And i say hi to all the teachers and the very few that know/knew me!!! (the number is getting smaller and smaller)!! G'day from Australia.We have just got internet and found your website.My name is Peter Hart and I am one of the evacuees that attended your school in 1943.I think Mr and Mrs Smith were the teachers. We lived in Gt Brington between the post office and the church on the right hand side, house with stables. The church used to have an organ that had bellows and had to be pumped by hand which I did every Sunday morning and was paid half a crown. If you go to the church you will find a wooden post about half way down with the names of the boys who pumped th organ. You will find my name P Hart on it. Hoping it's still there. It was when we visited the church in 1978. If it is still there would it be possible for you to take a photo of it and send it to me. It would be very much appreciated. Your school sounds great. Your website brought back alot of memories. Thank you. Looking forward to hearing from you Mr and Mrs P Hart.

Hello everyone at school!

I am having a brilliant time in the Californian sunshine. My Mum takes Max and I swimming every day in one of the pools nearby - we have 4 to choose from! We are having a beach party on Saturday with some new friends we have met - we are going to try to surf!

Mum is in the process of registering me at school - my new school has over 700 students, but looks pretty cool.

I miss my old school friends, and hope that my new teacher will be as good as Mrs Nash.

Hi every1. I think this school was excellent. I have many good memories of fun times during lunch and breaks.

As a former pupil of Brington Primary School (1961-1968) I still have great memories of my time there. I live in Edinburgh now but pass Brington School occasionally and I am delighted to see that it is being kept in good order.
