WATER ALERT
BL/SM/NCC/Anglianwater Wednesday 25th June 2008
Dear Parent/Carer
WATER ALERT
I am writing to inform you, in case that you have not been informed, there are major problems with the Anglian Water drinking water supply.
In order for the school to stay open, we would like you to send your child into school with enough drinks to last them for the day. If you are providing them with water or squash based drinks, then please ensure that these are made with boiled, cooled water, as per the guidelines from Anglian Water.
Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience caused, but unfortunately we have not the facilities to provide enough clean water for the children during the day, and due to shortages in the supermarkets, we cannot provide bottled water either.
We have been fortunate to have enough bottled water in school to provide the children with water for today, and all drinks that have been brought in, made with tap water, have been disposed of.
The advice from the Local Authority is that we must have enough water to provide the whole school with drinking water throughout the day. To avoid this, we must ask for your full co-operation.
Regards
Barbara Lomas
Head Teacher
