Christmas dates For Your Diary

BL/SM/Xmas07 Monday 26th November 2007

Dear Parent/Carer

We are all aware that Christmas is rapidly approaching, so I would like to advise you of some important dates for your diary:

Whole School Activity ? Monday 17th December.

Instead of doing our ?usual? Christmas party, the ?Friends? Committee have arranged to take all of the children to ?Berserk? for the afternoon.

The ?Friends? Committee will forward details on the above, a little nearer the time.

Christmas Productions ? Tuesday 18th December.

This year, we are splitting our productions. Infants (Class 1) will be performing their production at 2.00pm and Juniors (Class 2 and 3) will be performing their production at 7.00pm.

There will be no tickets this year due to the performances being held at different times, so this will enable other members of the family to come and watch.

All children who will be taking part in the evening performance, will need to return to school for no later than 6.30pm so they can be ready for the performance to begin at 7.00pm prompt.

Dress rehearsal is being held on the morning of Monday 17th December. Your child will be notified of any costume that may need to be brought in. Please ensure that your child has brought his/her costume in by no later that Thursday 8th December.

Christmas Raffle.

This will be drawn on Tuesday 18th December after our infant?s production in the afternoon.

The ?Friends? Committee will do a list of prizewinners and their prizes.

Blessing of the Crib ? Thursday 20th December.

Once again, we will be taking part in the Blessing of the Crib service, which will be held at 2.30pm on Thursday 20th December at St. Mary?s church, Great Brington.

We will be leaving school at 2.00pm to walk along to Great Brington. We do need parents to help, so if you are able to help with the walk to the church, then please inform your child?s teacher.

If you are not able to attend the service, then please ensure that your child is collected from the church at 3.30pm promptly as we will not be returning to school.

Your child will also need their winter coat, hat and gloves, so that they are warm on the walk and also a disposable lunch, so lunch boxes do not have to be carried.

Christmas Post Box

The post box will be open on Monday 3rd of December through until Wednesday 19th December.

Please ensure that all cards are clearly labelled with both Christian and surnames and class number.

School Term Dates

Friday 21st December ? School closes at 3.30pm for Christmas.

Monday 7th January 2008 - School Closed ? Training Day.

Tuesday 8th January 2008 - School Re-opens to pupils.
