October Half Term Newsletter

Dear Parent/carer

As we are approaching half term very quickly, I would like to remind you of some dates and inform you of some forthcoming events:

Photo Shoot

I would like to say a very big thank you to all of you who enabled their children to take part in the photo shoot on the 6th and 7th of October.

The children seemed to thoroughly enjoy their experience.

Attached, is a personal letter from Bob Thomas, who did the shoot, also conveying his thanks to all concerned.

Half Term

A reminder that school finishes at 3.30pm on Friday 19th October, and reopens on Tuesday 30th October, due to a training day on Monday.

Hallowe?en Party ? Wednesday 31st October

You should have received a separate flyer for the above event, but in case you haven?t, here are some details:

Starting at 5.00pm until 6.30pm. Tickets are £1.50 per person. There will be games, dancing, lots of fun and an award for the best costume!

Please note that food will not be provided.

If pre-school are attending, they must be accompanied by an adult.

Christmas Activities

As a change to the normal party festivities, the ?Friends? committee have booked to take all of the children to ?Berserks? (a fun adventure park) in Moulton Park on Monday 17th December, leaving at 1.30pm by coach, after the children have eaten their festive lunches. More details to follow?




Christmas Productions ? Tuesday 18th December.

Class 1 will be holding their Christmas production at 2.00pm and Classes 2 and 3 will be holding their productions at 7.00pm. More details to follow?



Blythswood Shoe Box Appeal

Sara Meadows, our chair of ?Friends? has approached us with a very worthwhile cause to help those less fortunate at Christmastime.

Please find attached, a leaflet, which explains how you can help too!

If you would like to take part in the Shoe Box Appeal, please be aware that all boxes have to be brought to school by no later than Friday 2nd November.
